A person who raises a concern about Process /events/operations which are occurring in unethical or wrong manner in an organization. Usually this person would be from that same organization. The misconduct revealed may be classified in many ways- for example- a violation of a law, rule, regulation and/or a direct threat to public interest, such as fraud, health/safety violations, and corruption.
Whistleblowers may present their opinion and views either internally (within the organization) or externally like to the media or to groups concerned with the issues ,law enforcement agencies.
Many people would not want to stand for Truth or disclose the wrong things not only because of fear of losing job but also because of fear of losing their relationships at work.
Several Organisations / agencies were sanctioned protection act for Whislteblowers in many countries.
