Publishing Production Technical Specialist will be part of Global Services Solutions Group which is responsible for producing, publishing, validating, distributing and maintaining the print and web based Training materials.
More specifically, Publishing Production Technical Specialist will be responsible for:
• Develop macros for MS Office documents using office scripts or VB scripts
• Develop scripts for automation – Java Script, VB
• Develop and maintain group level applications
• Develop automations using windows batch files, develop automations for data migration from one platform to another.
• Produce and validate print and multimedia deliverables on required basis.
• Publish and validate multimedia deliverables to various internal or external web portals and LMS on required basis.
• Document Publishing Production and QA processes on required basis.
• Participate in the efforts to improve the product and process quality.
• Ensure high quality and timely delivery of the deliverables.
working experience in Production department of a publishing company dealing with desktop and multimedia content production.
• 2 years of experience in developing web applications/web technologies and languages, like HTML, DHTML, ASP, .net, JSP, JavaScript, VB Scripts/VB is required.
• XML technology and some experience in XML based publishing systems are desirable.
• Proficiency in industry standards tools and technologies used desktop and multimedia publishing production like Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, Camtasia, Articulate, Captivate Dreamweaver, Flash, and Macromedia Director etc.
